Businesses need to educate their employees about drugs in the workplace, how to recognize certain drugs by appearance, and their effects on individuals who may be under the influence while working. Being educated on the effects of illegal drugs can not only deter their use but also help employees seek help for themselves or others within their organizations. Ignoring the issue only harms people and their businesses. Being aware and educated may save someone’s life.
